Eternal Wanderer of the Night Sky

H.L. WOODEN THRONE return with another fine atmospheric black metal album. Melancholy and slow tempo are dominating, the swinging rhythm and the piano-like keyboards turn this into a quite soft black metal release, but that is very adequate for the autumn season. Sometimes the album even reminds me at more melodic Kalmankantaja songs or Dimmu Borgirs "Stormblast". Check "The Autumnal Frost". Favorite track: The Autumnal Frost.

Through the timeless fields they wander Over the barren lands, eternally torn asunder From the roots of their earthly remains Now a vagabond under the night sky In solitude they roam through the emptiness, like a falling star on the skyline Searching the borders of the unknown Beyond the earthly boundaries, into the astral night Eternal wanderer of the night sky Reaching to the stars above, yet chained into the earth below And a lifetime has slowly passed by as a prisoner of this earthly shell In solitude they roam through the centuries, like a burning star on the horizon Now passing the borders into unknown Beyond the astral boundaries, into the starless sight Eternal wanderer of the night sky In solitude they roam through the emptiness Like a falling star on the skyline Eternal wanderer of the night sky
2.
Gazing beyond the stars, deeper into the distance Reaching far beyond, into the primordial existence Under the starlit wilderness In the vast halls of eternity Roaming through the astral night Into the edge of the written lore Forward into starless abyss Further away from the earthly shores Under the gleaming night sky Where the stars are born only to die And the constellation guides us to the north Into freezing rain, yet we still wander forth Under the astral ruins, beholding alone The reverence towards the ancient unknown Roaming through the astral night, into the edge of the written lore Forward into starless abyss Further away from the earthly shores
3.
The mornings frost covering the lifeless ground The leaves have fallen and decayed without a sound It's the arrival of death, the bringer of life But to flourish and rise, it all must first die The white veil at the morning rise Is shivering under the autumn sky Pale horizon, the colorless dawn The autumnal frost, now covers the ground Everything dies, the cycle is ending The natures disguise is now descending Showing the true colors, when there's none to behold Only faded remembrance for men to be told The black haze at the sundown Is covering the autumn sky Murky horizon, a day without a dawn The autumnal frost, now covers the lifeless ground
4.
Farewell to the mortal coil Where the minds are chained into flesh Unleashed from these stained soils Where the life is fading to death In the silence of eternity, no sunsets, no dawns In a solitude we wander, like a dust of the stars The cycle has reached the end of its path The stench of decay, the burning aftermath The autumn of life, a prelude of the fall At the last steps, it's too late to withdraw In the silence of eternity, no sunsets, no dawns In a solitude we wander, like a dust of the stars This forest is our moss-covered tomb Where we lay in our earthly womb
5.
Scarred into stars of the northern sky Carved into woods of this beloved sight These soils firmly tied to our bleeding roots This heritage of death, is for us to choose Marching through these barren lands The trails of our forefathers, where their monuments stand Firm Roots of the Scarred North Remembrance of the fallen Now crumbled and faded are their last goodbyes Where their bodies laid after the centuries of fights Roaming through these forgotten lands The trails of our forefathers, where their earthly tombs stand Firm Roots of the Scarred North Remembrance of the fallen

Talvikki 06:52
And the sunrise never came It was the prologue for the winter The autumns pale curtains descends And all life slowly wither Built upon the old memoirs, that slowly wilts away The footmarks of the old paths, now leads to astray Existence is meaningless in these vast astral halls The embrace of the autumn, caresses and enthralls Wilted are the meadows, ashen and deserted Falling into the arms of the winters caress Into everlasting nothingness Where the sunrise never came
