H.L. This kind of atmospheric, melodic black metal fits perfectly to autumn and darker days. The songs have a smooth flow and are the ideal soundtrack for mind journeys. With its piano it reminds me sometimes at the 90s and albums like DIMMU BORGIR's "Stormblast" or the atmospheric Thy Serpent albums. As the vocals are quite harsh, the perfect balance between aggression and atmosphere is given. Currently on heavy rotation together with the new Stormkeep album. Check "Withered at Sunrise". Since 2007 I appreciate OCTOBER FALLS' atmospheric black metal. After a long break they finally return with another epic monument and their best album so far. "A Fall of an Epoch" is an album where I can easily indulge in. I enjoy each of the 5 epic anthems, which remind me sometimes at modern Russian atmospheric black metal acts like Sivyj Yar or Gherzen.
