Scarred into stars of the northern sky
Carved into woods of this beloved sight
These soils firmly tied to our bleeding roots
This heritage of death, is for us to choose
Marching through these barren lands
The trails of our forefathers, where their monuments stand
Firm Roots of the Scarred North
Remembrance of the fallen
Now crumbled and faded are their last goodbyes
Where their bodies laid after the centuries of fights
Roaming through these forgotten lands
The trails of our forefathers, where their earthly tombs stand
Firm Roots of the Scarred North
Remembrance of the fallen

Since 2007 I appreciate OCTOBER FALLS' atmospheric black metal. After a long break they finally return with another epic monument and their best album so far. "A Fall of an Epoch" is an album where I can easily indulge in. I enjoy each of the 5 epic anthems, which remind me sometimes at modern Russian atmospheric black metal acts like Sivyj Yar or Gherzen. Definitely one of the highlights this year! H.L.

A Pagan black metal masterpiece.
Folk and black metal elements fuse into one extremely catchy and awe inspiring album. This band does not disappoint from all the high praise sent it's way. Abyssius Murkraken

Icelandic Pagan Black Metal. Like many others here, I wish I understood these dark tales - all I can do is let myself be transported by the music & what a ride it is! I could not possibly choose a favourite song, they are all so good. I recommend their entire discography!!! bmurator
