Farewell to the mortal coil
Where the minds are chained into flesh
Unleashed from these stained soils
Where the life is fading to death
In the silence of eternity, no sunsets, no dawns
In a solitude we wander, like a dust of the stars
The cycle has reached the end of its path
The stench of decay, the burning aftermath
The autumn of life, a prelude of the fall
At the last steps, it's too late to withdraw
In the silence of eternity, no sunsets, no dawns
In a solitude we wander, like a dust of the stars
This forest is our moss-covered tomb
Where we lay in our earthly womb

Since 2007 I appreciate OCTOBER FALLS' atmospheric black metal. After a long break they finally return with another epic monument and their best album so far. "A Fall of an Epoch" is an album where I can easily indulge in. I enjoy each of the 5 epic anthems, which remind me sometimes at modern Russian atmospheric black metal acts like Sivyj Yar or Gherzen. Definitely one of the highlights this year! H.L.

A Pagan black metal masterpiece.
Folk and black metal elements fuse into one extremely catchy and awe inspiring album. This band does not disappoint from all the high praise sent it's way. Abyssius Murkraken

Icelandic Pagan Black Metal. Like many others here, I wish I understood these dark tales - all I can do is let myself be transported by the music & what a ride it is! I could not possibly choose a favourite song, they are all so good. I recommend their entire discography!!! bmurator
